Applying for your New Home

Thank you for considering Rents to find your new home. We have a constantly changing number of properties from Studios to 6 bedrooms. Firstly you need to decide which is right for you.

When you view our property’s page, you will see that we have indicated what type of property they are, along with how many bedrooms they have and whether the Landlord will accept pets, children or smokers at the property.

We also state the rent per calendar month and the date the property will be available from.

If you see a property you wish to view please telephone us to make an appointment on 01473 225268 or fill in the enquiry form on our web site and we will arrange this for you.

If, after viewing the property, you decide to apply for it, you will need to email in to info@rents.co.uk with all names of the adults over 18 who will be applying along with the email addresses. You will then be asked to pay a Holding Deposit which will be equivalent to One Weeks rent (if your application is successful this is off set against the months rent or security deposit). We will then proceed to take up references which would be employers, previous Landlords and a credit search. Subject to these being satisfactory we will then draw up the tenancy agreement which will be for a minimum of six months.

On the day that your tenancy commences you will be asked to pay your first month’s rent in advance (this will be the date your rent will be due each month). You will also pay the security deposit which is equivalent to five weeks rent. The deposit will then be lodged in a Tenancy Deposit Scheme. Once payment has been received you will be asked to collect your keys and tenancy documents from our office.

Along with paying the rent you are also responsible for the payment of Council Tax, Water Rates, Electric, Gas or Oil, Telephone and TV licence.

It is your responsibility to insure your contents.
